When Peter Graves finished his run with Fury, his next TV project was an Australian Western called Whiplash. Graves had finally gotten what he had been wanting the whole time he did the Fury series. A night time television show. Graves was not happy with the fact that Fury was done during the day, and on a Saturday morning to boot. He felt the show should have been in primetime. Although he was unhappy about that, he went on to enjoy Fury immensley. Whiplash was filmed in Australia, and shown here in the United States in 1961. Graves played an american character Christopher Cobb who was trying to establish the first stagecoach line in Australia in the 1850's. The show produced 34 episodes before being canceled.
